You have moved into a home with a Danalock mounted on the door.
We highly recommend that you claim ownership of all the Danalock devices by enrolling the devices on your own account. We don't recommend being invited by the previous owner, as they would then have access to your home.
Also make sure that the previous owner removed the lock from any Zigbee or Z-wave hub, if applicable.
Claim ownership of devices:
- Start by downloading the Danalock app on your mobile device and create an account in the app.
- If you can see the devices when adding new devices in the app then you are good. If not, then continue to the next step.
- Contact the original owner to get the Danalock devices released from the current account.
- Note, the procedure is the same for Danapad and Danabridge.
If the owner of the Danalock is unable to release it, he/she can contact support@danalock.com and request the release.
IMPORTANT! The request should be sent from the email address used as the username for the current account holding the devices.
Once the device has been released from the current account you should be able to add them into the new account.
