This guide shows you have to manually update your Danalock devices using the Danalock Toolbox app for iOS devices.
This process can be used if you are not the admin of the Danalock devices, or if you don't use the Danalock app in your setup.
If you want to download the firmware the normal way, go into the Danalock app and find "Firmware" under the device settings.
Model name: Danalock V3-BT-HK
If you have a Danalock HomeKit lock, follow the guide at the bottom of the page.
Open the Danalock Toolbox app.
Choose "Danalock"
When the Danalock Toolbox app discovers your device, it will ask you if you want to update the device with your serial number. Match it with the serial number inside the battery cover, or on the sticker on the back of the Danabridge or Universal module. (SN: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx)
Press "Update"
The device will now start updating.
Once the update is done, the light on the Danalock, Danabridge, and Universal module turn off while it installs the firmware on the device - this can take up to 30 seconds - after that, the device restarts flashing white for about 3 seconds.
The Danapad will turn off all lights once done - wait about 30 seconds before using it again.
The update is now done.
After completing the firmware upgrade, some settings might be reset.
Please check all settings and check calibration.
Open the Danalock Toolbox app on an iOS device that is on your HomeKit network.
Only a phone that has access through the Home app to the lock is able to do the update.
Choose "HomeKit"
If you don't see the lock you want to update please check that you have added the lock to your Home app.
Then choose the lock you want to update.
NB: Only locks within Bluetooth range of the iOS device can be upgraded.
Choose "Firmware update"
Confirm that you want to update your lock.
Press "Update"
Once the update is done, the lock will restart flashing white for about 3 seconds.
Then the update is done.
After completing the firmware update, some settings might have been reset.
Please check all settings and check calibration.
If you have any issues during the update, please try one more time by following the process from the beginning including the part where you put the device in the update mode.
If it still fails you are welcome to contact our support.
